Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? The sound my fan made at my first summer camp. It was the first time I was away from home and I had a rough time with it at first. The sounds of that fan and the feel of the summer heat reminds me of how sometimes things can seem catastrophic but if you make the most of them they can be some of the best times of your life.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?My father. He is the most patient, caring person I have ever known. He truly believes that helping the people that matter is never time wasted, a characteristic I hold most high.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?Conviction, drive and passion. A motivating belief in something is what I find to be of the most noble character. Additionally, it may be blind faith in humanity, but I have found that when a person is extremely passionate about something it tends to be something of truly upstanding morality and not reflective of the baser sides of human character.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?I saw the rapper L.L. Cool J at the Vatican. Walked up to him and for whatever reason thought to use the more formal "Pardon me, Mr. Cool J, may we get a picture with you?" He was very friendly and agreed to get a picture with us if I never said Mr. Cool J to anyone again.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?Syria or Lebanon, conflict aside I find the culture, food, and history most fascinating.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?To spend a great deal of time understanding what is important to them and constantly evaluating their choices as to how they affect those things they deem important.
