Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience?Getting blood drawn for my appendicitis surgery stands out to me. I was nervous because I hate anything related to blood as I get weak and feel like fainting. My veins hid so I was poked many times until they found them. My dad said if I did not cry, he would buy me a personal pizza, so I did not cry and got my pizza hut pizza after I was released from surgery.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I identify most with my mom because we are similar. She lives close to me, and we visit each other quite often. She is a good listener and always gives me advice.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I admire people who are passionate and can provide quality work in the workplace.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?The first time my grandmother visited the United States, we were drinking wine with her sister-in-law, who I consider my aunt. My aunt had ice cubes in her cup of wine, she tilted the cup to drink the last bit and the ice cube nit her teeth. We all started laughing at my aunt. What made it funnier was that my grandma was mad because we were making fun of her old, non-smart phone until she saw us all laughing at my aunt, she then started laughing the loudest.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I would travel to El Salvador even thought I go often. I enjoy going because that’s where all my cousins and family members that I grew up with live.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I do not want children, but if I were to, I would want them to be financially stable and receive a great graduate education. I do not want them to be financially limited in the ways I was.
