What is your most memorable childhood experience? | My most memorable childhood experience would have to be my twelve year old season of baseball. This was the year I began to realize that I was very talented compared to the other children. During this year I hit multiple home runs, and was named MVP of our league. I was the top player for the All-Star team, even though I was the youngest player in my grade. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I most closely relate to my mother. My parents divorced when I was only two years old and my mother got custody of me. Although I was close to both parents throughout my life, I grew up with my mom and gained her values. She was a great inspiration to me because she dealt with the adversity of having a child at a young age, yet continued to pursue a degree. She is a very responsible and driven individual. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I most often relate to people who are easygoing and like to have a good time. I admire someone who is optimistic about life, and just happy to be here. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | The funniest thing that has ever happened to me... This is a very difficult question to answer because my life is filled with humor. My senior year I was named "Class Clown." I have always enjoyed laughter and funny situations. If I had to name one thing though, I would probably go with participating in the senior talent show and rapping for the school. A friend "dared" me to write a rap and do it in the talent show, so I did. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I would travel to Europe if time and money were not an issue. The culture and history of European countries has always amazed me. I would love to backpack across Europe and check out all of the different countries. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | I would definitely like to pass on my passion for competition to my children. I am competitive not only in sports, but academics as well. There is something about being better than others at things that is a rush for me. |
