Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? My favorite experience was climbing to the top of Angel's Landing in Zion National Park in Utah.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?My grandfather. He’s always been an incredibly active, outdoor type of person. Even at his old age we still go for bike rides; he also plays golf and cross-country skis. He’s the type of person I strive to be.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I admire somebody who is driven, able to stand their ground, honest, and compassionate.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?I don’t know why this comes to mind. I was leaving the parking lot of a Frisbee golf course. My friend, who had just finished his banana, was riding his scooter in front of me. Just as he started to accelerate he threw his banana at my car, trying to mimic Mario Kart. It was one of those laugh-so-hard-I-cried moments.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?Well, naturally I'd like to travel to New Zealand so I can walk the path to Mordor, and maybe grab a flagon of ale at the Green Dragon. Since time is not an issue I'd like to then travel to Ireland and Scotland.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I want my children to have an open mind about other cultures and ways of life. I want them to understand that they form their own path, and nothing good comes without hard work. Oh, and I'd also give them my Hot Wheels collection.
