Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? My most memorable childhood experience was my sixth birthday party. It was a party at the neighborhood pool and tennis courts. We had a pool party and a huge game of rollerblade street hockey in the tennis courts. All of my friends from elementary school came and had a blast. Possibly one of the greatest times in my life as well.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?My older brother. He is my role model and has always helped me with school and any other life problems. He taught me how to ride my bike, swim, and do everything there is to do in a child's life. He has always been there for me and I don't think he knows it, but he has. I love my older brother and he's forever close to me.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I admire loyalty. Friends can come and go, but if there's a mutual respect of loyalty then they will come and stay. Respect is another key trait. If you don't have respect for others, how can you respect yourself? Lastly, the courage to do what is right. We all have morals and virtues bestowed upon us by the people who love us, so whenever you are in a tough spot, you can look back at your values.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?The funniest thing ever to happen to me would have to be my first day of high school. I had met most of my best friends in middle school, but that day I met two new friends, and it had to be the funniest day of my life. They were just playing hilarious jokes off one another, while me and all of the other guys sat back laughing at them. That would have to be the funniest experience.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I would travel to Europe. There are just so many things influential to me that have happened there: the fall of the Berlin Wall, wars being fought, my descendant's homelands, etc. I hope to see museums and pursue my passion for history with travels in Europe. Also, Europe is the birthplace of so many fascinating people that I just have to travel there.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? The virtues my parents gave to me. I will pass on my wit and comedic references. I will pass on the kindness I have for other people, and my ability to see people, not color. I will teach them how to be an outstanding and outgoing person, traits which will benefit them in the future. Lastly, I will teach them to care for others as well as themselves.
