What is your most memorable childhood experience? | My first day of football practice is my most memorable childhood experience. I had always been an active kid and I played basketball before I started football, but the prospect of participating in an outdoor sport overjoyed me. I had no idea what I was doing or how to play, but I loved the feeling of playing sports outside and wearing the big pads. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I identify most closely with the younger of my two sisters. We've always gotten along well and we think the same way about many things. We are both science and math-based thinkers and have a similar sense of humor. She is also very similar to me on an intellectual level and we enjoy the same movies and books. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I admire honesty and caring above all else. I can't think of an honest and caring person that I don't love being around simply because they know how to interact with a single person and a group of people, but make everyone feel loved in a real way. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | I've been known to have a hard head, literally. I was playing in the car when I was 3 or 4 and bounced too high, meeting with the windshield. It cracked, and I told my parents, then everything was fine. Later, in grade school, I was playing with my friends in the woods and ran head-first into a tree. It was an old, rotting tree, but me running into it made it fall down. I thought it was a normal strength tree and my head was just that strong! |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I would travel many places! I haven't been outside the U.S., so I don't know what other countries are like. I would like to visit tropical and island nations first because I love warm weather and being outdoors. I also picture island nations as very relaxed, and I love being near the ocean. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | I don't care so much about passing anything on to them physically, but the thing I want them to understand most is how to be happy and live a lifestyle without too much stress. I want to show them care, and how to be a good person; things more important than material possessions. |
