Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? My most memorable experiences as a child would probably be fishing with my grandfather. He was my father figure when I was young and we often went out fishing in the ocean. I always picture those times when I think of him.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?My uncle. He's been a mentor to me since I was a kid and is probably the nicest, most caring person I've ever met. Like my mother, he just has an uncanny knack for knowing what I'm thinking. I have several aunts, uncles, and cousins and I'm close with many of them, but he is probably the one who knows me best.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?Honor, courage, and determination. An honorable person does what is moral, even in the face of adversity, and it takes courage to overcome adversity or fear. Determination is key to success in every facet of life - that "never quit" attitude. I think that any person with these three traits is bound to do great things in their life.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?Tough question, I've had a lot of good laughs. I used to ski race in high school and after a race I was to accept an award in front of hundreds of people. I slipped getting onto the podium and fell right on my rear. I got up, took a bow, and everyone laughed and cheered. Good times.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?Everywhere. I'd probably start with Australia, I've always wanted to go there, and I love the accent. Traveling across Europe would be great too, just to experience the lavish lifestyle that each country has to offer.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I would want my children to be caring and fun loving, but also courageous and determined. I would want them to believe that they can do anything they want to do, with the proper mindset. They would be resilient after failure, and try their very best at everything.
