Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? Most definitely it is playing sports growing up. Whether it was baseball or soccer, I loved to play organized sports and being on a team with my friends (some I am still very close with today). I remember after good games I would love to go to pizza parties and celebrate. After the bad games I dreaded the car ride with my father and the continued verbal coaching that lasted the whole long way home.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?My dad. Not only do we share many physical attributes, but he has always provided and been there for support. He is a rock, and his discipline and love have molded me into who I am today. I am very proud of that. He taught us life is vast and opened my eyes to be a well rounded individual.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I admire honesty, loyalty, sincerity, and compassion.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? When I was in high school my girlfriend told me that I missed her birthday. She really made me feel horrible and laid it on really thick with how bad it was to forget such a special day for someone you care for. She carried on about it all day until after dinner. She finally told me that it really was not her birthday but just an April Fool's joke. She thought it was hilarious and we both had a good laugh about it. To this day I still call her and wish her a Happy Birthday on April 1st. She is a good friend.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?England would be my first choice. I greatly desire to see where my family came from 400 years ago. There is a small parish town on the east coast near Great Yarmouth that holds the roots to my family tree. I would like to hike the hillsides and see the old church. I have developed a fondness for the great castles also, so seeing Buckingham and Kensington Palaces in London would be quite cool.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I have five daughters and I strive every day to give them unconditional love. Knowing that someone loves you without fail and without holding anything back is a great source of strength. Not only to talk of love but show them what it means, is one of the most important gifts I can give.
