Updates - MedicalUpdate received March 2011: One offspring reported with a mild unilateral hearing loss and a tracheal esophageal fistula (risk to other offspring is very low to non-existent). No change to donor Medical Profile: January 2012, March 2013, December 2014, July 2015. Update December 2020: The donor is a carrier for Stargardt Disease (gene ABCA4) based on the birth of an affected child. Both biological parents must be carriers before a child is born with this condition. So an untested mother has a 1/204 chance of an affected child (less than 1%). Update July 2021: Donor testing has now been completed and confirms his carrier status for ABCA4. His results are available under the Genetic Testing link on his web page.
