What is your most memorable childhood experience?My soccer teams were never very good. Winning games, or scoring goals even, was a big deal. We played a tournament in our home town and there was some really tough competition. We rallied together and played some of our best soccer and were really focused on turning the ship around. We ended up beating some of the best teams in the state and winning the tournament. From that point forward, our team had a redefined attitude and swagger. It was a real turning point and a coming of age for our team as athletes and young men.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?My sister. She babysat me a ton when I was growing up and took me on many trips while my parents worked. She is closest in age to me and we have similar ideals.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?Honesty, sympathy, dependability
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?I think that crazy coincidences are hilarious. I am able to spot them all the time and sometimes they only make sense to me, so I just laugh on the inside. The world is truly smaller than we think.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia and Laos. I have never been to Asia and I think that it would be a culture - food, lifestyle, outlook on life - that I would embrace.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?Do what makes you happy, not what anyone else thinks or believes you should do.
