Donor Register:

Visit the interactive donor information center to use our online donor search feature. This feature lets you search the entire Fairfax Cryobank donor register and then create a list of those donors most desirable to you. Searches may be conducted on race and ethnic origin, blood type, hair and eye color, height, and education level. Each donor has an extensive list of additional information that may be of interest to you in this selection process. These items can be ordered, some for a fee, either on line or by calling our customer service department at 800-338-8407. Our donor register is updated on a daily basis so please check back frequently for new information. You can also choose to print the entire register.

Donor Childhood Photos:

Donor childhood photos are available on the majority of our donors. Photos are of the donor between 6 months and 6 years of age. Donors who have childhood photos available will be indicated as such on the detailed donor information page through the search feature on our website. Photos can be downloaded or sent by mail. Lifetime Photos:

Lifetime photos which include adult photos are now available on a select group of our donors. Donors have provided a series of photos on themselves that cover infancy through adulthood. Donors who have Lifetime photos available will be indicated as such on the donor search by a camera icon. Lifetime photos ordered on a donor will be mailed only. Donor Silhouettes:

A profile photograph of the donor has been shaded to show only the line of his side profile.

We believe this is a great way to view the adult donor's physical characteristics, yet keep him anonymous. These silhouettes are also relatively low cost, and a combined set with the childhood photo is also available. Asking for copies to be mailed is slightly more costly.

Silhouettes may be ordered in the same way as other donor information such as childhood photos by going to the Donor Search and clicking on the donor. You can check if a silhouette is available on each individual donor search page or look at the List of Available Donors with Silhouettes.

Donor Audio Interviews:

Also available on a majority of our donors, audio interviews provide insightful information into the donor's childhood, aspirations, accomplishments, values, family life, and personal interests in his own words. Donors with interviews available are indicated as such on the detailed donor information page through the search feature on our website. A 10-20 second audio clip is available on our website free of charge. The audio interviews range in length from 7 minutes up to 25 minutes and average 12 minutes in length. The audio clip and complete interview are provided as MP3 files and you can listen to them using a variety of media players. You will have the best results using at least Windows 98 with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher. Click here to listen to an example audio clip or sample audio interview.

Donor Summary Profiles:

Summary profiles are two page summaries of the significant medical and genetic histories of a donor's family. Of course, any donor applicant who had a family medical history that would put him or his offspring in a high-risk medical group would be rejected from initial entry into the donor program. Individual summary profiles can be viewed from this website free of charge. Click here to view an example summary profile.

Donor Medical History Profiles:

Medical history profiles provide detailed background medical and genetic information on the donor, donor siblings, parents, aunts and uncles, and grandparents. Medical profiles are approximately 9-12 pages in length and give extensive medical history on the donor and list medical conditions for family members.  See a sample of a medical profile here.

Donor Personal Profiles:

Personal profiles comprise 15 or more pages of detailed personal information about the donor, donor siblings, parents, and grandparents. Some of the donor's personal information includes personal interests and goals, academic scores, military record, specific facial features, and other specific information on family members. Detailed personality testing utilizing the Keirsey Temperament Sorter is also available on all our donors. You may even be interested in taking the test yourself and making comparisons. The personal information available on our donors is plentiful. Some of our clients have even commented that they ultimately know more about the semen donors they select than about their own partners.  See a sample personal profile here.

Donor Essays:

Essays are available on a majority of our donors. These essays are a series of questions and answers that we hope will tell you a little more about our donors on a personal level. Like each one of you, every donor is different. Some are men of few words, and some we can't stop from talking. Essays can be viewed on our website free of charge. Donor Staff Impressions:

Staff impressions are available on a majority of our donors. These reports were developed due to numerous requests from patients. Many patients simply wanted to know "What do you think of this donor?" Staff members who work directly with the donors on a daily basis write staff impressions. Donor Profiles Sets:

Donor profile sets are available on a majority of our donors. Profile sets include the medical and personal profiles, audio interview, and childhood photo. Donors with profiles sets available are indicated as such on the detailed donor information page through the search feature on this website. Profile sets provide a significant discount compared to ordering each item individually.
